Call For Workers
John H. Sheppard
Lirik Call For Workers
In the vineyard of the Lord
There is work for all to do
Will you go and work today
With a purpose strong and true
Chorus
Heed the call, brother dear
For workers today
Let your eyes see the need
Of workers today
Brother, sister, hear the call
All along, your aid afford
Let us strive to save the lost
Strive to save by work and word
Chorus
Mark the spirit’s direful fate
Wheresoever sin is found
Come, and lend a helping hand
Let the shackles be unbound
Chorus
Oh, for workers strong and brave
Who will lift the banner high
So the lost can see the way
To the mansions in the sky
Chorus
Ye’ve enlisted in the army of the faithful
Like heroes the battle fight! Away
There are foes on every hand that will assail you
Then gird on your armor bright
With the banner of the cross unfurled before you
The sword of the spirit wield! Away
Ye shall conquer through His mercy who hath loved you
The Lord is your strength and shield
Ye are marching to the land
Where the saints in glory stand
And the just for joy shall sing
Ye by faith may bring it nigh
Ye shall reach it by and by
And your shouts of triumph ring
